Opportunity for Registered General Nurses

Maternity Locum position, 7 shifts per fortnight inclusive of weekends.

Are you interested in joining a progressive and dynamic community nursing team in the South Tipperary area?

Full orientation and mentorship provided. 

Applicants must possess:

  • Proficiency in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care
  • Recent acute nursing experience
  • Proven competencies to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A full clean manual drivers’ licence (CIT Vehicle provided)
  • Significant personal and professional development

Of benefit:

  • Competent in cannulation, administration of IV therapies
  • CVAD care and Phlebotomy

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Caredoc out of hours GP service, planning and providing nursing care, treatment and health education to patients.

Location

Caredoc, Wicklow Town.

Job Type

Part-time, Permanent, 9am to 1pm Saturday and Sunday with a commitment of one – two weekends in four.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Caredoc pharmacist, involved in the management of medication, inventory control according to the regulations and processes in Ireland

Location

Caredoc, Wicklow Town.

Job Type

 Part-time, Permanent, minimum 10 hours per month, flexible daytime hours.

Applicants must possess

  • Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in a Pharmacy Technician role
  • Computer literate, Microsoft Office suite
  • Quality-focused and familiar with quality systems in medication management, understanding of stock management, date checking, understanding PSI requirements and the requirements of the Pharmacy Act 2007.
  • Proven record of working on one’s own initiative
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Caredoc Community Intervention Team (CIT)

Sessional position, flexible working options

This is a valuable opportunity to gain experience with a dynamic multidisciplinary community team in the Wexford area

 

The post holder will be working as a clinician in a rapid responsive area to provide early supported discharge, hospital avoidance and prevention of hospital admission to patients’ in their home / clinic environment.

The aim of the OT service within the community intervention team is to meet the patient’s immediate needs by completing a comprehensive assessment and provision of reablement to ensure quality, evidence based, equitable and timely service alongside the nursing and physiotherapist colleagues.  

The post holder will require key evidence based and best practice clinical assessment and onward intervention skills based on the patients’ presentation into the service.

 

Applicant must have:

  • Active registration with their professional registration body (CORU)
  • 3 years post registration experience
  • Proven competencies to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Clinical decision-making skills
  • A full clean manual drivers’ licence (Vehicle provided)
  • Significant personal and professional development, applicable to the role
  • Knowledge of the Irish healthcare system
  • Excellent ability to organise their time and workload and prioritise as necessary.

Remuneration for all positions will be in accordance with the Department of Health salary scale commensurate with relevant qualifications and experience.
