Community Intervention Team

Community Intervention Team

The Community Intervention Team (CIT) is a nurse led professional team that provides nursing care to patients in a community setting. The service is run by Caredoc in conjuction with the HSE, St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, and Carlow / Kilkenny GPs.

The service provides high quality nursing care in the community for a short period of time by working together with patients, carers and other professionals. With the provision of this service suitable patients can get back to their own homes earlier from hospital or GPs have another option of care available to them within the community.

The service is currently available to patients in the Carlow and Kilkenny area.
